On Having Space and a Place

I was reflecting about the concept of space today, and noticed that there are many kinds. The following is something between a poem and a quiet letter, for you. I hope it helps you to think about the places and the spaces in your life.
Having space at home and outside.
The space you occupies, and the one you left free.
Having the space of a person next to you, having it empty
after the person went away. The space in your hands
filled with someone else's fingers.
The space your brain takes inside your skull, as your organs
in your body. The space you walk in, ready to receive praises.
And the one you avoid to elude judgement. That one extra place
at the table, and the place you can't find on the train early in the
morning going to work.
The space between your ears, from which you mostly define
yourself in a wrong way. The space you make for people
in your life. And the one you close for others.
The space you protect. The place of your childhood
you always return to.
But mostly, the space within you, only for you. That sacred place where you are grounded and flourish
If this moved something in you, you are welcome to stay awhile. These words will wait here when you need them again.
